10th Annual Conference of the Spanish Association of Law and Economics

Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Católica Porto Business School, in Porto (Portugal).

Hosted by Católica Porto Business School (CPBS), Universidade Católica Portuguesa and the Spanish Association of Law and Economics (AEDE)

The Spanish Association of Law and Economics (AEDE) is now fifteen years old, being one of the most recent associations of Law and Economics in Europe. Amongst other activities, it organizes an annual conference (since 2010), a course on economic analysis of the law at Harvard University, and several seminars.

Católica Porto Business School is an autonomous higher education School within a nationwide private not-for-profit University: the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP). CPBS is located in Porto, in the north of Portugal, the country’s second largest city, providing undergraduate, master, MBA and executive education programmes, as well as research and consultancy activities. It also operates in Angola, Brazil and Mozambique, and has established partnership programmes with business schools in the United Kingdom.

The conference will take place in Porto, a city which was awarded the distinction of European Best Destination in 2017. Known for the Port Wine, it combines heritage with contemporaneity and has a lot to offer its visitors: from cultural activities - art galleries, museums, theatres, proximity to other historical cities - to relaxation on the beach, on the wine farms at the Douro valley, or getting in contact with the local gastronomy. Portuguese citizens’ congeniality and communicative skills, comfortable housing and a secure environment are usually valued by worldwide visitors as well .
