Introduction

The MBA Atlântico’s students experience an immersion in the programme through a three-month residency in each Portuguese-speaking country – Portugal, Angola and Brazil – which gives them first-hand knowledge of their social and economic realities.

Programme Outline

The MBA Atlântico starts at Porto. The second trimester happens in Luanda, followed by the third trimester in Rio de Janeiro.

At the end of the programme, all the students present their Project - Business Plan in Rio de Janeiro, where the graduation cerimony will take place.

Selection of Applicants

Final assessment and the granting of scholarships will be in keeping with the weighting of the elements outlined below:
1. Academic records - 25%;
2. Personal interview - 25%;
3. Mark obtained in the entrance examination - 50%.

The entrance examination lasts two hours and comprises two components:

1. Quantitative component, lasting one hour, composed of a series of multiple choice questions (similar to GMAT but in Portuguese), counting 50% towards the examination’s final mark;
2. A written essay, lasting one hour, on a topic related to economic diplomacy in the context of business internationalization in Portuguese-speaking countries, counting 50% towards the examination’s final mark.

Scholarships

A merit-based scholarship scheme is available to all applicants. Merit-based scholarships can correspond to a 100%, 75% or 25% financing of the programme and will be granted in keeping with the assessment of the applications submitted and taking into account the several elements in the selection process (see selection process).
