The economic relevance of the Hotel and Tourism sector imposed the creation of a pioneering course that responded to the challenges of a rapidly growing universe, but is faced with the proliferation of new destinations around the world.

The P. G. H. M. aims to answer these needs, combining, in an innovative and eminently pragmatic training, techniques and methodologies of Hospitality the key topics for the exercise of an excellent hotel management.

Through several editions, the programme has consistently open new career opportunities through high quality training. Just ask the many participants who attended the previous editions.

Objectives
Prepare and enhance staff and experts through advanced training in Hotel Management, which will allow the performance of different functions, at various levels, particularly in the fields of management and industry business management.

This program provides an integrated view of the issues that determine the success of Hotel Management, namely, Revenue Management, Hotel Units Management, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, Markets and Trends in Hospitality and Tourism Experience Management, Investment in Hospitality and others.

Who attends
The Post-graduation in Hospitality Management is designed, preferably, to entrepreneurs, managers and middle and senior management of companies in the hospitality and tourism field as well as for those wishing to embark on such professional activities. It is also essential for other professionals, among them lawyers, architects and consultants with connections to the sector.

Candidates Profile

Applicants must have a high education degree. Candidates who do not have this requirement may be accepted provided their background and knowledge acquired by professional experience justify such admission. The process of selection and ranking of candidates will be done according to the requirements defined in the Regulation governing this training and always based on curricular and professional judgment, taking into account the submission order of the respective applications.

In addition to the practical classes, a series of seminars make part of the Executive Master, as well as other activities, namely study tours to hotels, the simulation game and a residential workshop.

I will begin my testimony quoting Miguel Torga: "There are many ways to glory. The key is to have genius.”

Thus, the Post-Graduation in Hospitality Management of Católica Porto Business School is the fundamental way to get the "genius" in the hotel area. It is the best "way" in the face of "so many paths" that theoretically would lead to the same objective, but in which the exercise is diluted in the schematization of several models, sketches and theorems without recourse to the fundamental basis: the practice.

It was this "path" I chose for my postgraduate education, because comparing with "other ways", this one had everything I wanted: a School of Excellence; a faculty, also of excellence and a curricular and programmatic structure adapted to reality of the hotel sector needs.

My "path" throughout this program has become reality, lived experiences, theories, theorems and models, but above all and more important, the passing of the Faculty testimony who have extensive experience in hotel business. It was from these experiences with the excellent faculty and the coexistence with my colleagues, many of them from the hotel area, who I learned, lived models, replicated these methods, models and experiences to my activity as Hotel Manager.

I will end my testimony with a reflection that has always encouraged me and on justify my choice for Católica Porto Business School: If we do not seek perfection, we will never achieve excellence.

Payment Policy

When applying it should be paid 10% of the programme's amount. The remaining amount must be settled in accordance with the payment schedule set. VAT at the legal rate must be added to all prices.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation of an entry within 15 days prior to the start of the programme will lead to no reimbursement of the registration fee. A no-show or cancellation of a registration after the start of the programme involves its full payment. In certain circumstances, the Católica Porto Business School may postpone or cancel the implementation of a programme and in that case shall return in full all the amounts charged.

Special conditions

The attendance fee will have a 10% discount in case there are two enrolments from the same institution or 15% for three or more enrolments. Former students of Catholic University and EGE - Business Management School will benefit from a 10% discount. AEP Members will have a 10% discount and the associated AEP Plus benefit of a deduction of 13%. Discounts are not cumulative.

Prompt payment situations will be granted a 5% additional discount
