How to define the context and what is expected of a school?

Público, November 29th, 2014 [in Portuguese]

Similar to what happened last year, from the data provided by the by the Ministry of Education and Science(Ministério da Educação e Ciência (MEC)) for the school clusters (relative to 2012/2013), it was possible to attribute to each cluster a  specific socio-economic context.

We believe that the introduction of this indicator in the analysis of the school rankings is essential, since the schools/clusters operate in very different socio-economic realities, and it is clear that these realities affect the results of national exams.
