Portuguese industrial Companies should offer more services associated with products, says Rui Sousa, Professor of Catholic Porto Business School. Rui Sousa, organized a seminar on the future of the manufacturing industry based on a survey comparing Portuguese industrial companies to their foreign counterparts.
The increasing incorporation of services in products should be a priority for both Portuguese and European companies to create competitive advantages over suppliers of distant regions.
For Rui Sousa the greatest weakness of Portuguese companies is in their investment capacity. Prospects are favorable for medium and large companies whilst SMEs have increased investment problems.
